What is Supervised Nursing?
In a hospital, the ward-in-charge usually co-ordinates each patient’s care by directing the bedside nurses and checking other caregiver activities such as physiotherapy, doctor visit and diet. At home too, care activities need to be co-ordinated with family, bedside nursing staff, other staff and doctor in charge to ensure that the patient is receiving and responding to the treatment. This is done by our Nursing Supervisors.
Once care at home is needed, our Team Physician visits and assesses the patient,to prepare a detailed Home Care Plan. Our experienced Nursing Supervisors are specially trained to cross-monitor this care delivery, and to catch early signs of worsening or new symptoms. This second level of monitoring also ensures that both the family and the doctor in charge are kept updated about your ward’s progress.
Why is Physician Monitoring needed?
In critical / high dependency situations, a doctor who is familiar with the overall condition of the patient AT HOME, can accurately manage the challenges by co-ordinating with the various specialised interventions involved and regularly validate the therapy to be continued. Our Team Physicians monitor patient progress closely and modify the prescribed therapy after appropriate discussions with multiple medical professionals to achieve the best possible outcomes. Doctors are also available on the phone for emergency medical support round the clock. Many unnecessary hospitalisations have been avoided because of our timely team communication and interventions.
